The Department of Linguistics and Cognitive Science at Pomona College - tenure-track, Assistant Professor

The Department of Linguistics and Cognitive Science at Pomona College invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor to begin Fall 2019. We seek candidates with expertise in cognitive neuroscience, cognitive science, or cognitive psychology. The area of specialization is open to any area within human cognition, such as attention, perception, memory, language, reasoning, decision making, or problem solving. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, a productive record of research, and an ability to involve undergraduates in research. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated commitment to improving higher education for underrepresented students. Teaching responsibilities will include two courses per semester that contribute to the interdisciplinary Cognitive Science major.

Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. by the start of the position.
