The Psychology Department at Missouri State University-Educational and/or Cognitive Psychology

The Psychology Department at Missouri State University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Educational and/or Cognitive Psychology at the Assistant Professor level beginning in the Fall of 2016. Application review will begin on October 30th, but applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Candidates must have a doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in Cognitive Psychology, Educational Psychology, or a closely related field. ABD will be considered with an expected completion by start date. Teaching responsibilities include education and/or cognitive psychology courses, as well as other undergraduate and graduate psychology courses within the applicant’s area of expertise. Other departmental teaching needs include statistics, research methods, and child development. The successful candidate should demonstrate a commitment to mentoring undergraduate and graduate student research and to the development of programmatic research in expertise area. Service is expected at university, college and departmental levels, and participation is expected in activities that contribute to the public affairs mission of the university.
