The Department of Psychology and the Zuckerman Mind Brain Behavior Institute at Columbia University invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level to begin July 1, 2019. We are interested in individuals whose research addresses fundamental issues in the cognitive, computational, and neural mechanisms of complex human behavior, broadly defined. Quantitative approaches to the analysis of neural and behavioral data are highly desirable. Applicants are expected to have a strong record of achievement and to demonstrate the ability to engage in innovative and interdisciplinary research and teaching. The successful candidates will contribute equally to the intellectual vitality of the Department of Psychology and the Zuckerman Mind Brain Behavior Institute with lab space at the Jerome L. Greene Science Center, the home of the Zuckerman Institute.
All candidates must have excellent scholarship and promise for future development as a scientist. Candidates must also have strong publishing and teaching records and exhibit commitment to undergraduate and graduate education. The minimum degree required is a Ph.D.
