University of California, Irvine Assistant Professor in Cognitive Development

The Department of Cognitive Sciences ( at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in cognitive development. The successful candidate will have a research program with a strong theoretical focus using behavioral, computational, or neuroscience methods.

This individual will be part of the Faculty Cluster Hire in Creating Opportunity. The cluster is an interdisciplinary group of faculty from Education, Sociology, and Cognitive Sciences whose shared goal is to develop and test interventions to support gains in early literacy and mathematical skills in preschool and the early elementary grades.

The successful candidate must be able to collaborate effectively with colleagues in the Department of Cognitive Sciences as well as the Department of Sociology and the School of Education.
