The University of Texas at El Paso College of Liberal Arts Department of Psychology Social/Cultural Faculty Position Language Acquisition and Bilingualism Position
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), Department of Psychology, invites applications for two faculty positions. Both appointments are scheduled to start in the Fall 2016 semester.
Position 1. One open-rank faculty position in Social or Cultural Psychology, broadly defined.
Position 2. One open-rank faculty position in Bilingualism or Second Language Acquisition. Applicants with cognitive, developmental, or neuropsychological approaches are especially encouraged to apply.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A Ph.D. in Psychology; published research; potential to attract external funding; and the ability to teach and direct research.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT: The Psychology Department has 19 tenured and tenure-track faculty members. It offers a nationally recognized doctoral program with a concentration in Social, Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience, Language Acquisition and Bilingualism, as well as concentrations in Health Psychology and Legal Psychology.
